Villa Bekul was a truly blissful tropical paradise for our party of six (one older and two young couples) to call our own for two weeks. The villa is spacious and well-appointed and the pool and its surrounds are a dream. We easily spent whole days just lying about. The other stand-out was the wonderful house staff who, combined, made us want for absolutely nothing. They are all delightful, reliable and went far out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves, including providing wonderful decorations and dinner for Tim’s birthday celebration. People thinking of staying might keep in mind that this is pretty remote Bali and adjust your expectations accordingly. The villa itself is 5kms out of town and up a very steep hill. Your own transport for zipping into town for supplies is essential – the fabulous Bob will take you on longer trips. We loved every moment of our stay – a truly restful, peaceful escape and base to explore unspoiled northern Bali. We will stay again.
