We stayed in Villa Bekul first two weeks of July 2023. It was fantastic to arrive to this beautiful villa (in the early hours after a long journey), flower petals on the beds and lovely food pre-prepared for us. We loved the comfortable bedroom space, day beds, open air bathrooms, lush infinity pool and lovely vista of the sea and gardens. The staff are friendly and dedicated; they were there when we needed them but allowed privacy during our stay. They made fabulous breakfasts and restaurant quality meals whenever we wanted this service. It was fantastic to see monkeys occasionally tumbling through the garden, they were not aggressive and kept their distance – be careful not to leave food out! In terms of location, without a car / moped, it is too far to walk into Lovina as the villa is up a very steep hill in Sing Sing. We ended up hiring a car for local outings although still highly valued booking Bob Bali for trips as the terrain and traffic in Bali can be very challenging such as in Ubud and Denpasar. However, the location of the villa provides a more spacious, tranquil setting and found there were less mosquitos than we had expected. We loved hearing the call to prayer from the local mosque and the Hindu shrine in the garden which added to the cultural experience
